Abbey Lozenge Gag with a central lozenge link, a small oval centerpiece in a double-jointed horse bit that allows the mouthpiece to lie flat across the horse's tongue. This design is widely considered a mild and comfortable option because it eliminates the "nutcracker" effect found in single-jointed bits, where the joint can collapse and poke the sensitive roof (palate) of the horse's mouth.
The double-jointed design allows for independent movement on each side of the bit, enabling the rider to give more precise, one-sided rein aids for bending or turning.
Comes with gag rounds. 4 1/2" rings and 5 1/2" mouthpiece.
